Chervil
Who Is He?
Chervil is one of the members of the new crew Kimathi is a part of. Out of all of them, Chervil is the most confusing to Kim. When he is not absolutely obsessing over getting the perfect base, his mind is probably in another dimension, or frollicking through a field of fembots, or both. Whatever he is thinking about, it's probably not at all about Kimathi. Chervil is somewhat indifferent to his presence, but already has the notion in his mind that Kim is just a lame tag-a-long, who he'll put up with for Juniper's sake. One of the few human beings Chervil actually cares about is Juniper, and he is very protective of her. Seeing Kimathi stand up for her in the juicery is the only thing thats impressed him about the exchange student up until that point, but its enough to prove to Chervil that Kim can be a cool kid too.
Character Elements
Chervil's original design isn't far off from what he ended up becoming. The most major change he had was in his clothing and skin color. While he already looked like someone who might "shred on stage," he just wasn't as fashionable as the girls. We wanted to amp up his cool factor a bit, but there are key elements that were used for his character since the beginning, like his goat eyes, high waist, and gnarly mohawk. These aspects of his character design were important for visually driving home the point that he is just a weird guy.
