Juniper
Who Is She?
An absolute ray of sunshine. That's the easiest way to describe our ever bubbly and sweet Juniper. Not only was she the first to befriend Kimathi and bring him into her group, but she is really the glue that keeps all these odd-jobs stuck together. For someone who loves life as much as she does, it's no surprise she has a hobby in botony, and wants to make a career as a medicinal chemist. Though it might seem obvious to others that Juniper genuinely wants to hang out with Kimathi, and get to know him, he can't help but to feel he is taking advantage of her kindness, or that she simply pities him and his lonliness. However, after Juniper's bad luck turns into an opportunity for him to show true compassion and heroism, Kim doesn't worry much about his place in the group anymore.
Character Elements
Juniper's bright, bubbly personality is the major element of her character design. Rounded body shapes, squashed proportions, and large round eyes set in a soft face, give her a baby like and innocent apperance that stayed pretty consistent in all iterations of her design. Even her soft pink skin lends itself to a lovable character design that didn't change much from the start. Some of her outfit color choices just needed to be reworked to give her some more emphasis as an individual, and contrast when interacting with her environment.
